Albert Ali Salah

"A Computational Model of 3D Face Recognition"

A major weakness of the existing 3D face recognition research is the lack of fast and accurate registration, which is traditionally guided by a few anchor points (e.g. the eyes, nose tip, mouth corners). In this talk, Salah will evaluate these and other 3D face recognition techniques, and he will propose novel, biologically-motivated methods that his research has proved to offer promising results in the form of faster and more accurate registration within the 3D face-recognition process. Host: Javier Movellan, TDLC and Machine Perception Lab at Calit2.
