I am a Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of California, San Diego. I have joined Dr. Te-Won Lee's lab since December 2004 and have been working on learning new image/video representations using variants of Independent Component Analysis (ICA) algorithm. In the summer of 2006, I had a chance to go work with Dr. Hagai Attias and Dr. Sri Nagarajan at the University of California, San Francisco. My research direction now has expanded to learning multimedia representation. In particular, I am focusing on representations for multimedia data containing video, audio, and text.
